11 months

How is it possible she will be one next month??!!

At 11 months...
-She says "a dat" when she sees something she wants.
-says Dada appropriately
-Can take two steps before falling down
-Is very affectionate. She is constantly giving us hugs and kisses.
-Gives a high 5 when you ask her for one.
-Loves drinking water
-Tries to climb up and onto everything.
-Started classes at My Gym and loves it!
-Went to the daycare at mama's gym for the first time and only cried a little.
-She will randomly lay down and take rests on things. It's really sweet.
-Gets SO mad if you take something away from her.
-Is very dramatic
-Loves baths
-If she's crying you can wash her hands and she will usually stop.
-Is really tiny. She still fits into her 6 month stuff and size 2 shoes are a little big still.
-Gets complimented on her pretty blue eyes a lot lately...and of course her hair!
-Has eczema, but coconut oil really helps.
-Will eat anything we give her.
-Is really ticklish and has theist infectious laugh :)

Emmaree 9/10 months

-is sleeping in her own bed and doesn't wake until 3 or 4 to nurse then back to sleep until 6:30ish
-cruises along furniture and walks with push toys.
-loves being the center of attention.
-screams when she doesn't get her way or your not fast enough putting food on her high chair.
-claps.
-signs more.
-pretends her toys are phones and puts them up to her ear And jabbers.
-loves giving kisses. She even kisses her baby doll
-Rowan is her favorite person. She gets so excited to see him...she waves really fast and attacks him with kisses.
- gives hi-5's
-bops up and down to music.
-loves baths and tries to drink all the water.
-is a huge flirt.
-loves every fruit she's tried (real fruit, not puréed stuff), and pretty much every food as well. She eats mostly what we do and occasionally eats a pouch when I'm lazy!
-bites carpet, so weird!
- has 8 teeth. 4 up and 4 down.
-finds any crumb or speck of anything and eats it.
-is very ticklish
-went to NYC with mom and dad while Rowan stayed with my mom. She was her own attraction there! No matter where we were people just had to comment on how cute she was and her pretty hair. It was pretty funny! People would actually go get there co-workers or friends to come see her. We should have charged admission!
- the same thing happened at Disneyland!
-can climb stairs.
-loves to eat paper.
-her middle name, Joy, fits her so well. She really does bring joy to so many people!

7-8 months

Miss Emmaree Joy is now 8 months. I forgot to do one for 7 months so I will just combine the 2.

-She is a crawler. She started scooting around (mostly backwards) around 6 months, crawling 3 crawls forward at 7 months, and officially crawling a week before turning 8 months.
- pulls herself up on anyone and anything.
-can stand on her own for a few seconds. A few days ago she stood for 20 seconds!
Has 2 bottom teeth (5.5 months) and almost 4 top teeth.
-loves all the food she's tried, however she's not a huge fan of puréed foods.
-is a terrible sleeper. She is up at least 3 times a night and usually ends up in bed with us by 4.
-is really loud. Loves to make a coughing sound.
-started waving.

6 months!!

Well, Miss Emmaree is officially 1/2 year old. It's gone by in the blink of an eye. She is definitely letting her presence be known more in our home with her squeaks and squeals!

At 6 Months:

Length: 24 1/4 inches (8%)
Weight: 14 lbs 9 oz (20%)
Head: 45%...I think the pigtails made it bigger.

-She can sit all on her own and play with toys.
-Loves to talk and talk and talk.
-Has the sweetest laugh.
-Is very ticklish, especially on her neck.
-Has 2 teeth. Crazy!
-Tried her first solid food on her 6 month birthday; a slice of avocado.
-Has started going through the separation anxiety phase.
-Went to Swiss Days and was the center of attention. We literally couldn't walk from booth to booth without people stopping us to look at her. People even pulled me out of booths because they wanted to see her! She made many ladies squeal at the sight of her cute pigtails! It sure is fun having her and I love the happiness she brings to so many people.
-Takes 2 naps a day.
-Still fits nicely in her 3-6 month clothes.
-Is still a great nurser.
-Is still a horrible sleeper :(
-Chews on everything. Her favorite thing is her binky strap.
-Has tiny feet. Her newborn socks still fit and the shoes I bought for fall are still too big and they are only a size 2!
-Rolls everywhere. She can make it half way across the room in seconds.
-Her favorite toy is still Sophie the Giraffe.
-Can be very bashful.
-Is a joy to have in our family.
-Loves to be out and about. Is much happier when we are out of the house vs. in the house.
-Had her first trip up to the Cabin in Flaming Gorge. The animals loved her noises so much that a deer came right up to the deck to check her out.

4/5 months

Miss. Emmaree is now 5 months old, it really doesn't seem possible. She is by far the smiliest baby I have ever met!
At 4 months she was
12 lbs 10 oz
22.25 inches (yes, that's very short!)

She loves to put everything in her mouth.
Chews on her binki strap more than her binki.
Tries to eat our food...almost succeeded with a handful of frozen yogurt a few nights ago.
Her favorite toy is Sophie the giraffe.
Is a professional roller. She loves to roll from back to belly...especially if you put her in her crib.
Loves attention and is a huge flirt!
Gives smiles and giggles freely.
Is not a good sleeper...she usually wakes up twice to eat, twice with a belly ache, and once for a snuggle...this makes for very long nights!
Takes 2-3 naps a day. It just depends on how late the second nap goes to.
Can sit for about 20 seconds unassisted.
Likes to be carried facing outwards.
Is such an easy going baby and a great shopping partner. I see many girl shopping trips in our future!
Still nurses great...although she gets distracted quite easily so I think she makes up for lost food at night.
Thinks peek a boo is quite hilarious.
Has enough hair for super adorable pigtails.
Went swimming for the first time and thought it was pretty fun.
Is constantly told from strangers "she is the cutest baby I've ever seen" Even people with babies with them, and random old guys tell us this. I can't help but agree, and Emmy cant help but give them a huge smile!
Enjoys stroller walks.
Does great on road trips
Went camping for her first time on Boulder mountain near Capitol Reefe.
Uses her bumbo as her hair styling chair.
Loves her brother.
Is a dream come true!

3 months

Weight: 11 lbs 14 oz (50%)

Smallest setting on one size cloth diapers, and size 1 disposable

Our little Emmaree is such a joy to have in our lives. She brings us all so much happiness and laughter.

A bit about Emmy at 3 months...

-She loves to blow spit bubbles
- Talks and laughs constantly
- Has the biggest, sweetest smile
-Adores her Papa. His funny animal noises always make her laugh and smile.
-we left her for the first time and she did great drinking 3 bottles
-Is still nursing great.
-Sleeps great at night...most nights.
-Loves to watch fans
-Thinks her brother is pretty awesome.
-Always sucks on her blanket in her carseat
-Loves to eat her hands...she even gave herself a Hicky!
-Still loves being swaddled
-Really enjoys her swing and bouncer
-Has enough hair for little pigtails!
-Has really curly hair when it's wet.
-Is liking car rides more.
-Has the cutest chubby legs
-Can grab and hold onto toys
-Will finally let other people hold her for more than 2 minutes.
-Rolled from her belly to back twice, but never again.
-Is so good at tummy time...she has a really strong neck
-Gets mistaken for a doll quite often...people really come up and tell me they thought I was holding a doll until she moved!
-We can't go anywhere...literally...without people stopping me to comment on her hair. I seriously feel like we are in a parade!
-Is very snuggly.

1 month- Emmaree

It's hard to believe that our little Emmaree Joy is 1 month old (actually 5 weeks now). She brings so much happiness to our family. I will post her birth story sometime, but for now I wanted to write down what she is like at 1 month old.

-Weighed 8lbs 5 oz at 2 weeks and 9lbs 12oz at 5 weeks! She's our little chunk!
-She loves to be swaddled and rocked. This is usually how you can calm her down when she gets really upset.
-Started liking her "binky ba" at 3 weeks.
-Nurses like a champ now. We did have to see a lactation consultant to get help with her latch, but now she's great!
-Has reflux, just like Rowan did.
-Has thrush, just like Rowan did...and I have it again too, no fun :(
-Has the sweetest smile and is starting to smile more and more when we talk to her.
-Has a really strong neck
-Sleeps pretty well at night. Usually up once or twice between 10 and 6
-Sleeps half the night in her co-sleeper, and the other half in our bed laying on my arm :)
-Is still wearing her newborn cloth diapers.
-Fits into some of her newborn stuff and some of her 0-3 month stuff
-Loves us to "wear" her in the Ergo or ring sling. She usually falls right to sleep.
-Is liking her baths more. She likes the water really warm!
-Gets really bad belly aches and will have giant burps.
-Takes a great afternoon nap in her swing.
-Is starting to "talk". She has the sweetest little voice.
-Doesn't seem to mind when Rowan gets all up in her face!
-Is such a snuggle bug.
-Has SOOOO much hair. It is really thick and quite long. It also goes quite curly after bath.
